This is one, of a pair of Bald Eagles with her young, that I photographed many times over the course of a summer. I found their nest early in the spring and made over 20 trips out into the middle of a large swampy basin in my tiny little boat. Each trip was a major adventure trying not to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere by myself with all of my camera gear. Over the course of the summer, I watched the pair of eagles, working on their nest in the spring until raising three eaglets all the way to maturity in the fall. This photo was taken on one of my last trips at the end of the summer. One of the eaglets had already fledged and the other two eaglets were ready to fly for the first time
